Welcome to Outcries! There’s some really great stuff coming out so far this year – and even more this week – Booster Gold #6 is one not to miss as Booster travels back in time to save Blue Beetle (I’m hoping for the best on this one). And if you pay close attention to Clif’s “Pick of the Week” you already know about “The End League” and this week it’s “The Twelve”. Some really great stories (and fabulous art!) to boot.
Plus if you happened to miss Green Lantern Sinestro Corps Secret Files #1 you missed the “Rosetta stone” of books that captured everything you ever wanted to know about the Green Lantern/Sinestro battle that just wrapped up – a must have!

Clif’s Pick of the Week: The Twelve #1. J. Michael Straczynski might have his work cut out for him with this series, but I think he's just the man to pull it off. The Twelve sees 12 heroes from the golden era that have been forgotten, re-emerge in Marvel's current continuity. Pulling characters from the past will always be a tricky thing to accomplish, but it fits here. I especially like the fact that they are part of current Marvel. With the Civil War just happening, the government still considers them "on duty". It's great to see Chris Weston back on a regular title (although it's only 12 issues) and Straz's writing is always top-notch. A great read especially for those who are fans of the old-school Marvel stuff.
The Best of the Rest:
Hulk #1 – A decent start, but still a lot of questions. #1 has sold out with 2nd prints coming. Pick up yours while you can
Green Arrow/Black Canary #4 – A great read since issue #1. This one might even make you shed a tear.
Amazing Spider-Man #546 - I hate the continuity retcon, but that doesn't take away from this issues good writing.
