Welcome to Outcries! – Let’s see? What’s coming this week – There’s just a couple Civil War tie-ins coming with Black Panther #24 CW, and Ultimate Civil War Spider-Ham Crisis #1 (if you want to call it a “tie-in”) and the excitement continues to build in the latest 52 (week #39)! Also coming is the much hyped Steven King penned Midnight Dark Tower Gunslinger Born #1 (of 7) and a related Marvel Spotlight Dark Tower – plus Clifton’s favorite Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters #7 (of 8) (wow, only one more to go). As always, there’s the latest selection of Variant Covers, and Trade Paperbacks!
Magic the Gathering - Planar Chaos expansion one day Special!

Clif’s Pick of the Week: Silent War #1. After last year’s surprise hit Son of M, we were left with a changed Quicksilver and the Inhumans declaring war on America after they refused to give back the Terrigen Crystals. Quicksilver’s story was brought over to X-Factor and has been there pretty much ever since. With Silent War, we get to now see the rest of the Inhumans’ story. In what should have been a quick message/threat to America, Gorgon is taken prisoner after an attack leaves some rich socialites dead. We really get nothing more than a set-up for the rest of the series, but we see the Inhumans reaction to America capturing one of their own and what really happens when an Inhuman is exposed to the Terrigen Mists a second time. The relationship between America and the Inhumans has always been an up and down situation, but this looks like it could be the final down. The Crystals are the way of life for the Inhumans and they will stop at nothing at to get them back. Be prepared for action, action and more action. And maybe even Black Bolt speaking a few words.
