It always turns out to be a busy time for us and you’ve all probably got lots to do as well so I’ll keep it brief! We’ve got another great supply of New Comics arriving this week – Plus another supply of the popular DC Heroclix Crisis Booster Packs!

Comics in the Real World
“Batman’s Burden: A Director Confronts Darkness and Death” The New York Times has an excellent piece on Director Christopher Nolan and bringing “The Dark Knight” to the big screen in the shadow of Heath Ledger’s death. Excellent stuff!
Clif’s Pick of the Week: Cable #1. So far we have seen all but one book of the Messiah Complex aftermath (Young X-Men being that other one) and Cable #1 has arguably the best start. After surviving MC, Cable has now become surrogate father to the messiah child, traveling forward and backward in time as a means to protecting it. New-comer writer (sort of) Duane Swierczynski does a great job of making Cable a soldier once more, and Ariel Olivetti is once more showing why he should be recognized as one of the best artists in the business. This (to me) is easily some of the best Cable since his earlier, solo book days. With every other X-title selling out of print this last month, make sure you pick your copy of Cable up before it's too late.

The End League #2 - The first surprise hit of '08 and it just keeps getting better!
