Next
Tuesday, June 26, 2007, Outland Comics will host Autobiographical Cartoonist, Ryan
Claytor, when he visits Idaho Falls as part of his ambitious North American
Comic Book Tour.
Claytor’s
tour is billed as the largest self-publishing, comic book signing tour on
record - 50 different locations in 18 states and 2 Canadian Provinces – and
we’re delighted to have him!
Claytor is
most well-known for publishing his all-ages autobiographical comic book series
entitled, "And Then One Day" under the moniker, "Elephant Eater
Comics."
Stop in to Outland Comics on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, from 12:00 until
4:00 PM when Ryan Claytor will be signing his autobiographical
comics and limited edition prints.

And after a
brief break Clifton has provided us with his Pick of the Week: Annihilation:
Conquest – Prologue. I can say without a shadow of doubt, that
the first Annihilation has single handedly made me want to read more
about Marvel's space scene. Front to back, is was an amazing read. Now,
in Conquest, we have the unavoidable sequel. At first glance, a wince of pain
might overcome you when you see that Conquest is spanning as long as the first
story, 11 months (Prologue, 4 mini's running four months and the 6-issue series
at the end)! With that, readers might not be so happy to be reading about space
again, but if this one-shot is any indication, it won't disappoint. After
everything that has happened to space, we begin months later with different
civilizations trying to make peace and rebuild. Only not everyone thinks that
it should be so equal this time around, when a forgotten foe re-emerges and
decides they’re taking what's left for themselves. Dan Abnett and Andy
Lanning's writing is swift and perfect and Mike Perkins shows why
his stuff on Captain America, isn't just for superheroes. Be prepared
for the long haul, but it looks like it will be worth the trip.
